PSC Meeting Activities
During our Poway Stamp Club monthly meetings, we enjoy discussing club matters and welcoming a special guest speaker. Afterwards, members often have the fun opportunity to buy, sell, or trade stamps and other philatelic treasures. Usually, there's also a voice sale, adding excitement to the gathering. On certain occasions, we even offer our members access to APS Circuits, making each meeting a wonderful chance to connect and share our passion for stamps.
Our welcoming community includes Philatelists of all experience levels. If you've acquired a collection—whether purchased or inherited—and feel unsure about its evaluation, our friendly members are always ready to help you out.
Our Club offers members the chance to check out Scott Catalogs, making it easy to explore together. We also love welcoming guest speakers to our meetings, where they share fascinating philatelic topics that everyone can enjoy.
Join us and enjoy a club that supports you and your hobby.

Holiday Party
Each year, the PSC joyfully celebrates the holiday with a delightful dinner and gathering, bringing everyone together to share in the festive spirit. celebrate the holidays on the second Wednesday of December.
The Club happily covers the costs for members who are current as of the notice date. Members are kindly responsible for their guests’ expenses, with an additional guest costing $25.00, plus any alcohol purchased. Our holiday dinner typically features a choice of entrée, breadsticks, soup or salad, and beverages like coffee, tea, or soft drinks. A delicious dessert will also be served.
The Club Secretary welcomes RSVPs in the lead-up to the event and starts collecting payments for guest meals. Your help in pre-paying for guests before the event is truly appreciated. We usually need a headcount by November 26th. Since space is limited at our current venue, there won’t be a prize raffle this time. Instead, we look forward to sharing a wonderful holiday dinner together with our fellow Poway Stamp Club members, creating lovely memories and enjoying each other's company.

PRIZE DRAWINGS
At our meetings, everyone has a wonderful chance to buy tickets for exciting prizes like quality stamps and more fantastic items. Tickets are just five for a dollar, and each member can purchase up to ten tickets, which is two dollars' worth. Before each Wednesday club meeting, over a hundred dollars' worth of stamps, carefully arranged in glassine envelopes, are displayed on the club's corkboard for everyone to enjoy and take a look at.
During the meeting, a volunteer club member will happily draw the tickets one by one until all of the opportunity items have been claimed. Each member with purchased tickets can win up to two times during the event. These opportunity drawings are always fun and exciting fundraising activities that bring everyone together.
Please note that all opportunity prize items have been carefully evaluated and thoughtfully chosen by our Club Vice President. This way, we can be sure that each prize envelope includes at least one special collectible stamp, adding a bit of extra excitement for everyone.

Board Elections
First Meeting in January
Don’t forget each year to attend the Club's first meeting in January and elect your new officers and Board of Directors.
The board is responsible for ensuring that the organization’s mission is clearly stated and enthusiastically supported. A commitment to the organization’s mission should drive the board’s and management’s priorities. Our club's mission is to promote closer social connections among stamp collectors in San Diego County and surrounding areas and to help spread knowledge about stamps and the enjoyment of stamp collecting.
All members are encouraged to throw their hat in the ring and become volunteer or member of the board.

Final Membership 2025
Encourage others to join the fun!
Some wonderful new members find their way to the Poway Stamp Club because they've inherited a stamp collection or simply love the hobby of stamp collecting. Many of our members enjoy sharing their lovely stories about how they first discovered our Club, and we would be delighted to hear about your own experiences with stamp collecting too!
Please join us at our next general meeting to discuss stamps.
